Re: DORL ENTERPRISE PROJECT 26-59, a.k.a. “Ada”
Further to my correspondence of May 5th, I hereby submit an addendum to the official report into the investigation of the murder of Professor C. Thornton of Thornton Industrial Electronics and Research, completed and filed February 2, 1962, as requested.
In summary, surveillance of the Electromatic Detective Agency has so far yielded no concrete evidence, yet results of data gathered by Department of [REDACTED] agents across the greater Los Angeles area suggests that the primary operational parameters of DORL Enterprise Project 26-59 have indeed become in some way compromised, possibly by agents alien to the United States and operating covertly within our national borders.
In particular, my preliminary investigations have indicated that the Electromatic Detective Agency’s control computer system, referred to as “Ada” in what documents could be retrieved from Professor Thornton’s radioactive laboratory, has come under direct command of such agents. Given “Ada’s” integration with the national telephone network and, via this network, secure computer systems at several Federal agencies, this now represents a clear and present danger to this great nation.
I trust that your cooperation in this matter will be forthcoming and all review processes expedited to not just re-open the investigation of Professor Thornton’s murder, but to instigate a new and thorough investigation of the practices and activities of the Electromatic Detective Agency, with a view to shutting “Ada” down completely while a thorough re-programming is conducted.
